Inductive Automation 2025 Discover Gallery: Official Rules

By applying and participating in the Discovery Gallery (the “Gallery”) for the 2025 Ignition Community Conference (“ICC”) sponsored by Inductive Automation, LLC, having a business address of 90 Blue Ravine Road, Folsom, CA 95630 (“Sponsor”), you agree to these Official Rules, which are a contract, so read them carefully before applying to participate or participating in the Gallery.
1. Eligibility.
The Gallery is only open to individuals and legal entities who, at the time of application and participation: (a) (i) if applying as an individual, are eighteen (18) years of age or older (except in the case of legal residents of any jurisdiction where the legal age of majority is greater than eighteen (18) years of age, such legal age of majority) or, (ii) if applying on behalf of a legal entity, are such legal age of majority and have authority to apply on behalf of such legal entity; and (b) otherwise satisfy the requirements of these Official Rule (each, an “Entrant”). All employees, managers, members, officers and directors of Sponsor and its subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, contractors or agents and their immediate family members and household members are not eligible to apply for or participate in the Gallery.
2. Applying; Judgment; Awards
The period to apply for the Gallery will run from approximately January 1, 2025 through April 30, 2025 (the “Application Period”). Entrants must apply to participate in the Gallery by creating an account with Sponsor (if they do not already have one), and providing requisite information and materials relating to a project using Sponsor’s Ignition software (each, a “Submission”) at Sponsor’s submission form or as otherwise directed by Sponsor.
There will be four rounds of judging. In the first round of judging, all eligible Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of judges selected by Sponsor in Sponsor’s sole discretion. In each subsequent round of judging, eligible Submissions not eliminated in a previous round of judging will be again reviewed by a panel of judges selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion. In each round of judging, the judges will evaluate Submissions and score them based upon their user experience and user interface, complexity, inventiveness, functionality, and impact on the world, as described here:

Entrants having the approximately eighteen (18) highest-scoring Submissions will receive the following “Awards”:
- The six (6) highest-scoring Submissions will each be recognized as “Firebrand” projects. These Submissions will receive special recognition at ICC (in addition to being featured in the Gallery) and on Sponsor’s website and social media. Further, Sponsor will pay for the cost of producing any video or other content involved in featuring such Entrants’ Submissions at the Gallery, as described below.
- All 18 Entrants will receive one free ticket to ICC, all entrants winning a Firebrand Award will have a video produced by Sponsor for its and Entrant’s web and social use, and will have their Submission featured in the Gallery during ICC. Sponsor will not pay for the cost of producing any video or other content involved in featuring non-Firebrand project award winners’ Submissions at the Gallery.
After judgment of all Submissions is complete, each Entrant eligible to receive an Award will be notified by e-mail. Entrants eligible to receive an Award will be required to respond (as directed) to the notification attempt. Following such notification and response, an Entrant must cooperate with Sponsor to provide or enable Sponsor to receive any further information, consent or rights (including the consent or rights of a third party) necessary for the display of a Submission at the Gallery during ICC or the production, use, display or performance of any video produced in connection with such Submission. The receipt of any Award is subject to Sponsor’s receipt of such rights.
3. Publicity and Third Party IP Rights
By applying to the Gallery, each Entrant gives their express permission to be contacted by Sponsor for purposes related to the Gallery. Except where prohibited or restricted by law, each Entrant’s participation in the Gallery constitutes each such Entrant’s agreement and consent for Sponsor and any of its designees to use, publish or distribute such Entrant’s Indicia (as defined below), worldwide and in perpetuity for any and all purposes, including, but not limited to, advertising, trade, or promotion on behalf of Sponsor, in any and all forms of media, now known or hereafter devised, including, but not limited to, print, TV, radio, electronic, cable, or internet, without further limitation, restriction, compensation, notice, review, or approval.
Further, by applying for the Gallery, each Entrant represents and warrants that they had the express, prior, written consent of any third party whose Indicia are included in or comprise any component of a Submission. Entrant shall further cooperate with Sponsor to obtain further information, consent or rights (including the consent or rights of a third party) necessary for the display of a Submission at the Gallery or the production, use, display or performance of any video produced in connection with such Submission
As used herein, “Indicia” means the information or indicia of or relating to a person (including individuals, legal entities, or governmental entities or bodies), including but not limited to, name, location of residence or organization, photographs or other likenesses, pictures, portraits, video, voice, testimonials, biographical information (in whole or in part), statements made regarding the Gallery, Sponsor or Sponsor’s products, or logos, branding, slogans, and other marks.
4. Entrant Representations, Warranties, and Release.
By applying for and participating in the Gallery, each Entrant (i) agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and (ii) hereby releases Sponsor and its affiliates, subsidiaries, promotional partners, contractors, and agents, and all others associated with the development and execution of the Gallery, and the officers, managers, members directors, and employees of each of the foregoing (collectively, the “Released Parties”), from any and all claims and liabilities arising from or in connection with participation in the Gallery, including without limitation, claims for injury, damage or loss of any kind resulting, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the participation in the Gallery or from the acceptance or use of any Award (or any portion thereof), and claims based on rights of privacy, rights of publicity, false light, defamation, copyright, or trademark infringement relating to the submission or exploitation of such Entrant’s Submission.
5. General Terms and Conditions.
SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHANGE ANY TERM OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES AT ANY TIME UP TO THE DATE OF THE GALLERY. SPONSOR’S DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE ADMINISTRATION, OPERATION, SELECTION OF THE WINNING SUBMISSIONS AND OTHER MATTERS RELATED TO THE GALLERY.
Entrant agrees that: (a) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Gallery, or any Award awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; (b) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Gallery, or any Award awarded, and all issue and questions concerning the interpretation or enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of an Entrant or Sponsor in connection therewith, shall be resolved exclusively by the United States District Court or the appropriate California State Court located in Sacramento County, California; (c) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Gallery, but in no event attorneys’ fees or costs; and (d) under no circumstances will an Entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and each Entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.
Any personal information supplied by an Entrant to Sponsor will be subject to Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, available at https://inductiveautomation.com/privacypolicy (including any successor website thereto), and the supplemental terms of these Official Rules.
